Transportation in Korea is super convenient, with various options to suit every need. You can use your Korean card, T-money, or Climate card for almost all modes of transport—just keep in mind that the Climate card is limited to Seoul.
From renting a bicycle to hopping on a taxi, taking a normal or mini green bus (like in Itaewon), riding the subway, or even the high-speed KTX train, Korea offers plenty of ways to get around, whether you’re exploring the city or traveling across the country.
Do not sit in yellow, pink or orange seats. Blue or gray are your friends.
A T-Money card is a prepaid card widely used for paying fares on public transportation in Korea, including the subway, buses, and even some taxis. It's a convenient option for both locals and visitors, as it can also be used for small purchases at convenience stores. You can buy a T-Money card at various locations, and it's a great way to simplify your transportation needs.

**IMPORTANT: Do not sit in the yellow seats designated for the elderly or the pink seats reserved for pregnant women! It’s incredibly rude and can make foreigners look very bad or clueless. Only sit in the blue seats, which are for everyone.**
The Climate Card, my absolute favorite was introduced to encourage environmentally-friendly travel in Korea 2024.
